Product Designer
Design beautiful, intuitive interfaces for AI products. Experience with developer tools and data visualization a plus.
About the Role
At Hanzo, design is a core differentiator. We believe developer tools and AI interfaces should be lightning-fast, visually stunning, and radically intuitive. You will shape the visual design language, design system, and user experience across Hanzo Console, Chat, IDE, and Cloud.
Hanzo builds an open AI cloud — compilers, models, distributed infrastructure, and agent tooling. Our codebases are predominantly open source, and team members operate with high autonomy and end-to-end ownership.
Key Responsibilities
Design end-to-end user flows, interactive prototypes, and polished production-ready UI for Hanzo products.
Evolve and expand our open source design system (@hanzo/design and @hanzo/ui).
Collaborate directly with engineers, contributing to front-end implementation details, tokens, and animations.
Conduct user research with developers and enterprise customers to uncover usability opportunities.
What We're Looking For
Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional craft in typography, layout, interaction design, and system thinking.
Experience designing developer tools, cloud consoles, data visualization, or AI interfaces.
Fluency with modern design tools (Figma) and working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and modern web frameworks.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with high autonomy and cross-functional ownership.
Nice to Have
Ability to write React / TypeScript code for prototypes and design system components.
Experience with 3D design, motion graphics (Rive, Framer Motion), or micro-interactions.
